At the Giving Angels Foundation, our mission is to enhance the daily functioning of a child with a physical disability from a lower income family by awarding grants for life-changing equipment, medical supplies, essential family bills, specialized camps, and therapeutic toys.
We classify special needs as those children under the age of 21 with any type of physical disability (such as, but not limited to, spina bifida, paralysis, missing limbs) or illness (such as, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer).
In order to help as many families as possible, we have an up to $500 maximum one-time grant allowance per recipient family (with rare exceptions made at the Board’s discretion). Families who wish to receive assistance must complete an application and submit required supporting documents. To meet our mission of helping lower income families, please note that we have a $50,000 maximum annual income threshold.
Funds are awarded on a case-by-case basis. The foundation reserves the right to decline any application and/or ask for any additional information regarding the application. We accept applications at any time, and we vote on applications approximately once per month. If your completed application (including ALL required support) is received up to a week before a voting meeting, it will be reviewed at that month’s meeting. If received within a week of a voting meeting, it will be reviewed at the following month’s meeting. Please note, applications will not be reviewed until ALL required support is received.
